Black Hekate is a liminal project born in 2021 to collect experimental instances related to dark ambient.
The basic idea is to create musical 'photos' of a place through various instruments (such as the soma ether 2, which amplifies the radio waves of a place and which are all different for each area, based on flats, power stations, electricity poles, cars...) telling its story, its specific moment, its moods and its 'ghosts'.
Its name is, in fact, connected to the goddess Hekate, to her chthonic and liminal aspect, looking for both the perceived (the ambient sounds of the place in question) and the elusive (the soma ether that shows us sounds we would not perceive at all otherwise we would go mad in some places).
In this respect Black Hekate is a search for the liminal.
