Evil new digital single: Evil Never Dies.
After the reissue of “Evil’s Message” and the release of the demo/live material collection “Ride To Hell”, Copenhagen heavy metallers EVIL are ready to go back to studio albums. Welcome to “Evil Never Dies”, the new song from the Danish quintet, that foresees their second studio album. And it is exactly what you’d expected from an 80’s heavy metal band that made it to today: old-school in sound, honest in approach and dark & evil at mind.
Evil was founded in the early 80s and releasing their first mini-LP, the now legendary “Evils Message”, in 1984. The style was inspired by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, but were also among the first bands to define the genre speed metal.
The original band members split up in the mid-eighties but was later continued by original drummer Freddie Wolf who released “Shoot the Messenger” in 2015, continuing his rhythmic skills, now on guitar.
The band is now re-born by new joining members including vocalist Martin Steene (Iron Fire, ex-Force Of Evil), drummer Henrik Molin (ex-Shadowspawn), bassist Jakob Haugaard (Iron Fire) and guitarist Nikolaj Ihlemann (ex-Nightlight), continuing the original inspirations of bands like Judas Priest and Accept.
In its current re-vitalized form, Evil has recorded 10 new songs to be released in early 2022. The songs were recorded at Hellfire Studio, Copenhagen, and Antfarm Studio, Aarhus, mixed and co-produced by rewarded metal producer/mixer Tue Madsen. “We have made the new material in the spirit of the eighties but with a modern metal state of mind” says Freddie Wolf.
The band is now ready to take back a leading role among Old School metal bands.
Evil is coming!
The new Evil album will be released in 2022 via From The Vaults.
