The Verlaines set to release "Dunedin Spleen"
Schoolkids Records-The Label are stoked to be releasing the phenomenal 10th studio album from one of our favorite all time bands. Founded at the end of the 1970's by Graeme Downes and named for late 19th century French poet Paul Verlaine, The Verlaines defined the now legendary 'Dunedin Sound' at the dawn of the 1980's in the small southern New Zealand university town, along with bands like The Clean, The Chills, The Stones and Sneaky Feelings.
Last years Record Store Day release of Dunedin Spleen on double vinyl sold out! So make sure to click here and Preorder the CD now on Schoolkids Records!

The Verlaines. at the time, were Graeme Downes, Jane Dodd and Robbie Yeats. We lived in Dunedin at the near-bottom of the South Island of New Zealand. We were at University.
